Our Vision

After hurricanes Helene and Milton finished crushing through the West coast of Florida Mike Vanlacken was trying to get home. With the roads closed, Mike's friend gave him a boat ride home. On the boat ride Mike was amazed at how many boat docks were destroyed. Mike's friend agreed and said my girlfriend's mom needs her dock repaired but can't find anyone to even come out to provide a quote. Mike being the friend that he is volunteered to fix the dock for his friend. After looking into fixing the dock Mike said, let’s build the best docks at a fair cost. Mike shared his vision of repairing and building boat docks with long time friends Doug Stuart and Pete Barch and Tropical Docks and Decks expanded into the Dock repair and building business.
